Congratulations to the Fonebox Fundraisers!

They did it!

David, Pippa and Rachel completed their Sprint Triathlon yesterday, each achieving a new PB (personal best)!

The team swam, ran and cycled the distance to raise funds for a traditional red phone box to complete the reminiscence village at Holmfield Dementia Day Centre in Leicester.

The village, ‘Memory Lane,’ is a fantastic facility for people living with dementia. Designed to resemble a 1940’s / 50’s high street, it is a quiet, reflective space where people can relax and reminiscence, away from the often confusing modern world.

The facility offers a fully working café and pub and is available to the day visitors at Holmfield and residents of neighbouring George Hythe House.

If you feel able to support this great cause, any contribution, large or small, will be very gratefully received:

You can find out more about ‘Memory Lane’ on the George Hythe House website
