Holmfield Dementia Day Care Centre

Holmfield Dementia Day Care Centre is a purpose-built centre in North West Leicester, dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and their families.

A visitor to Holmfield Dementia Day Care Centre

"Thank you so much for making Dad so comfortable… he settled in so well with you all. He always had a cheery answer and cheeky comments."

Situated next door to George Hythe House, Holmfield is a bright, cheerful building with well-kept gardens and raised beds. It's run by a friendly team who organise a wide range of activities every day and are always on hand to chat.

Activities regularly include singing, arts and crafts, card-making, board-games, pool, air hockey, films and quizzes, visits from musicians and entertainers, plus organised trips out.

Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and the centre also serves lunch for a small additional cost. The team is happy to help anyone who has difficulty eating and drinking.

Conveniently located close to both the A46 and A6 road links, the centre is open from 9.00am to 4.45pm every working day, offering full or half day sessions up to five days a week, depending on availability.

New visitors are welcome to come along for two free trial sessions before deciding whether to join in regularly.

Alongside Holmfield is George Hythe House, our registered care home which offers residential accommodation and support for older people with dementia. Holmfield is used both by residents of George Hythe House, and local people living with the condition. George Hythe House residents pay for sessions at Holmfield separately, in the same way non-residents do.
