Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

On 30 July we took a trip down to Skegness with our residents to make the most of the summer weather.
At our last resident meeting one of the residents suggested a trip to the seaside so that she could see the sea and everyone thought this was a great idea!

We booked a coach and 34 people went to Skegness for the day, enjoying the warm weather, with Mick, one of residents, loving the chance to have a paddle in the sea.

We took a walk along the promenade and even got to stop at Harry Ramsbottoms Fish and Chips shop for a not-so-healthy lunch!

Becky, our Team Leader and one of the organisers for the day said: “It was great to get the residents out together for a fun day trip to Skegness. All too often you hear of older people being stuck at home or somewhere where there’s nothing to do. At George Hythe House we pride ourselves on making sure our residents get to do the things they enjoy.”
