Top marks for George Hythe House

We got a great result in our recent Quality Assurance Framework report.

The report outlines the findings of the Contracts and Assurance Service’s annual Quality Assurance Framework (QAF).

The QAF process included three announced visits and one unannounced visit to the home as well as a desktop evaluation of evidence provided by the home.

The Contracts and Assurance Service also received feedback from service users and staff working within the service.

The areas assessed included:
  • Personalised care, treatment and support
  • Voice, choice and control
  • Safeguarding and safety
  • Business management
  • Employment and staffing practices
  • Quality management.

“I’m thrilled that George Hythe House is compliant in all areas of the Quality Assurance Framework. The staff always work really hard and to see this reflected in the report makes me so proud of each of them”, said Kirsty Youngs, George Hythe House’s Manager.

As part of the assessment families and residents are consulted by Leicester City Council, with one person saying “the staff at this home are kind and caring and many have been working here for some time which means they are experienced and know clients well”.

Well done everyone!
